For Breakfast: Eggs, Waffles, and Mimosas

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Last week I had the pleasure of going out to eat with some friends and the restaurant we chose to eat at was Butter's. I had never heard of the restaurant before until a few weeks ago when someone mentioned that they had really good mimosas. Having never tried a mimosa before, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try a mimosa and to try a new restaurant.

Butter's restaurant is rather far in terms of proximity to the University of Northern Colorado campus standards. It is on 35th avenue, in the same shopping center of King Sooper's and Inta Juice. The restaurant opens from 7 AM to 2 PM daily and the menu offers not just breakfast, but also offers lunch options too.

Drinks
Butters has the standard breakfast drink options including orange juice, tea, hot chocolate, and coffee. They also have cappuccinos, lattes, and espresso. However, the mimosas were what intrigued me the most on my visit there. They had the regular mimosa option of orange juice and champagne, but I decided to get a peach mimosa. I enjoyed this because of it its fruity, light taste. Mimosas are $5 but if you bring more people to the party, you can get a mimosa tower. The tower is about $30 for almost 3 liters of the bubbly beverage, depending on which flavor you choose. The bottomless mimosa is a great option for you and your friends (who are of age of course).

On the Griddle
For my first visit, I chose the Butter's XL which has the choice of two eggs, your choice of pancake, french toast or waffle, and your choice of sausage, bacon, or ham. My choice? Waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Everything tasted great, but especially the waffle. The waffle was was perfectly crisp and sweet. There wasn't a piece left on the plate except the remnants of syrup.

The Sides
To compliment the waffle, I got the scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns. I enjoyed each side dish, especially the hash browns. There is of course a healthier option to the greasiness of bacon and sausage. My friend enjoyed a side of fresh fruit which consisted of a blend of watermelon and honeydew melon. There is also a choice of toast, either whole wheat or white.

Overall, I would recommend Butter's to any and every breakfast lover out there. I must say it is a little on the pricier side, considering IHOP is another breakfast option in Greeley. I spend a little over $20 for my meal, but it was money well spend nonetheless. What I liked most about Butter's was its refreshing and upbeat atmosphere. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and knew a whole lot about the menu. I will definitely be going back to try more things on the menu (perhaps an omelette).

I was also hooked after viewing your link to Butter's. I have never been there, but will be finding time to check it out now! I love how your broke your blog into sections. It was easy to read and kept me hooked through the very end. I can't wait to read your next post!
